New Delhi [India], November 27: Swami Shri Pragyananad Saraswati ji Maharaj, a prominent spiritual leader, recently advocated for reforms on various societal, spiritual, and cultural issues, emphasizing the importance of combining material progress with spiritual values. His vision for India includes significant reforms that focus on empowering devotees, protecting cows, and promoting spirituality.

Addressing a gathering, Maharaj remarked, “This is a city of wealth, but we aspire for it to also become a city of spirituality along with wealth.” He stressed the need for India to maintain its rich spiritual heritage while pursuing economic growth, ensuring a balance between materialism and spirituality.

Maharaj also called for the liberation of all places of worship from government and national control. He stated, “All places of worship should be freed from national and governmental control,” underlining his belief in the independence of religious institutions to manage their own affairs without interference.

On the subject of cow protection, Maharaj declared, “The honor of the cow is our own honor.” He further announced an ambitious plan to construct 1,008 cow shelters across the nation. He explained that “The protection of cows will not happen through a cow-respect procession, but through our resolve to ensure their safety by building these shelters.”

These statements reflect Maharaj’s focus on preserving Indian culture and traditions. While some hail his vision as inspiring, others view it as a call for broader societal debate. His message continues to ignite conversations about the role of religion, governance, and animal welfare in shaping modern India.
