Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], September 22:<\/strong> Following the success of its inaugural edition in Hyderabad last year, India Art Fair brought the second edition of IAF EDI+IONS to Ahmedabad yesterday. Reaffirming the fair\u2019s commitment to expanding its regional footprint and strengthening art ecosystems across South Asia, the showcase officially opened its doors at the century-old Baronet House (Sanjay MS Raval Skill Centre) in the historic Shahibaug neighborhood.<\/p>\n

Running through September 20, the event brings together 18 leading galleries\u2014including 5 based in Ahmedabad\u20142 design participants, and 1 institution. The showcase transforms one of the city’s most distinctive Indo-Gothic heritage landmarks into a platform for contemporary artistic exchange.<\/p>\n

Jaya Asokan, Fair Director, India Art Fair, added: “After an incredibly encouraging first edition in Hyderabad, we are excited to bring IAF EDI+IONS to Ahmedabad and continue building a format that responds to the distinct cultural character of each city it enters. At its heart, EDI+IONS is about bringing people together around art and culture, strengthening regional ecosystems, and creating meaningful opportunities for exchange beyond our annual fair in Delhi.”<\/p>\n

The weekend program opened yesterday, Friday, 18 September, with a series of city-wide Gallery Walkthroughs across Ahmedabad\u2019s pioneering gallery spaces:<\/p>\n

\u2022 079 | STORIES ART GALLERY: Artist Khanjan Dalal presented Truth is Stranger Than Fiction, a sculptural series in ceramics.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Iram Modern: Showcased No Single Ground, bringing together a selection of works by modern masters.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Archer Art Gallery: Featured Parikrama, a solo presentation by Ganesh Gohain celebrating the artist\u2019s 60th birthday with works reflecting his life across Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam.<\/p>\n

\u2022 MCAA & GALLERYSKE Collaboration: Opened yesterday at the Satellite Venue of the Museum of Contemporary Art Ahmedabad (MCAA), presenting I Dwell in Possibility, a major exhibition merging contemporary art, furniture, plants, music, books, and text.<\/p>\n

At the main venue, outdoor installations are on display by Samara Art Gallery and the Public Arts Trust of India (PATI). Design showcases include Studio Renn (wearable jewelry art) and Ashiesh Shah (wabi-sabi-inspired design and architecture).<\/p>\n

IAF EDI+IONS Ahmedabad is presented in partnership with BMW India in its 11th year of collaboration with India Art Fair, alongside House of Umrao as Signature Partner, and programming partners including Zydus Foundation, Kanoria Centre for Arts, Kasturbhai Lalbhai Museum, MCAA, Raw Mango, and Architectural Digest (AD).<\/p>\n

Following the close of the Ahmedabad edition tomorrow, the 18th edition of the flagship India Art Fair will take place at the NSIC Grounds in New Delhi from 4\u20137 February 2027.<\/p>\n
