New Delhi [India], August 31: The Gujarat State Legal Services Authority, in association with the District Legal Services Authority, Surat, organised an impressive legal services event titled “UDAN – ADHIKARO SE ATMNIRBHARTA”, during which three projects were launched at the esteemed hands of Hon’ble Mr Justice Vikramnath, Executive Chairman, NALSA and Judge, Supreme Court of India.
With the aim of imparting value-based basic education to children living on the streets, a project named “Signal School”, a joint initiative of DLSA Surat and the Surat Municipal Corporation, was flagged off by Hon’ble Mr Justice Vikramnath.
Besides this, His Lordship also virtually inaugurated two projects — the GSLSA War Room and the Online Permanent Lok Adalat for four clusters across the State of Gujarat.
The event was also graced by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Gujarat and Mr A.Y. Kogje, Executive Chairman, GSLSA.
Addressing the large gathering, Justice Vikramnath urged everyone to see a child not as someone seeking assistance, but as someone with ambition and aspirations.
The Principal District Judge, Surat, Shri Rahul Trivedi, who incidentally had been the Member Secretary of GSLSA when the Signal School project was flagged off in the city of Ahmedabad on 22nd March 2022, gave a comprehensive overview of all facets of the project.
The ambitious project was then flagged off by Hon’ble Mr Justice Vikramnath, along with all the Judges of the High Court of Gujarat and other prominent dignitaries.
